The Dialysis Travel Nurse

Dialysis Nurses are very marketable and research predicts the number of job openings will continue to climb.

A recent article in Nephrology News & Issues states that by 2022, over 500,000 RN jobs will be available.  This growth is due, in part, to a large number of retiring nurses expected in the next few years.

In nephrology, nurse practitioners are taking on a larger role in physician practices, and gaining more responsibility.  There are even a few independent dialysis clinics run by nurses in the country.

So what does the future hold for the traveling dialysis nurses?
With the changes in healthcare – Obamacare and the Affordable Care Act, along with the aging baby boomers, additional opportunities are available for dialysis nurses.

Many dialysis providers are relying more and more on dialysis travel nurses.  These nurses “fill-in” when needed and help keep the dialysis clinics open and running smoothly.

Healthcare will continue to be a growing industry and researchers predict speciality nurses to be very marketable for years to come.

AHS RenalStat specializes in placing Dialysis Nurses and Dialysis Technicians in permanent and travel assignments across the country.  V.P. of Staffing, Brett Burleson said, “we have relationships with some of the leading dialysis providers across the country, allowing us to have hundreds of open dialysis jobs at any given time.”

“A lot of dialysis providers are relying more and more on travel nurses, so we keep a good pool of qualified dialysis RNs and CDTs in our database who are ready and willing to pick-up and travel,” said Burleson.

“What is great about AHS RenalStat is we have worked with these companies for years and we know their personnel and who will be a good fit in their environment.  That helps us place the right nurse, in the right dialysis clinic – that’s what keeps us coming to work everyday.  Knowing you can help someone find a long term dialysis career or go to the next dialysis travel assignment that “fits” their lifestyle and need at the time.”

AHS RenalStat is a leading dialysis staffing agency specializing in permanent and temporary placement of dialysis nurses, dialysis technicians and dialysis clinic managers across the country.  Their team of staffing agents have more than 70 years combined dialysis staffing experience.
